We would love for you to join us. If you are looking for a church home our doors and hearts are open. Below you will read a short summery of the how’s and why’s of Fireside. We look forward to seeing you soon.

The Birth of a Church, From out of the ashes comes victory.

Fireside Community Church was not born out of ambition — it was born out of sacred, quiet moments between a father and his son.

Just two months before Malachi tragically lost his life in a traffic accident on the corner of US-41 and Williams Rd. on November 8th 2023, he and Pastor Charles were spending intentional time together. It was a father and son opening the Word of God, talking about life, faith, purpose, and the kind of men they desired to become. Those evenings were simple, holy, and full of hope.

Then everything changed.

After Malachi’s passing, the grief was overwhelming — not just for our family, but for his friends who were struggling with the hopelessness that comes when someone so young is suddenly gone. Out of that pain, Fireside Devo continued — not as a program, but as a lifeline. It became a place where Malachi’s friends could gather, process their sorrow, and hear again the hope we have in Christ Jesus.

What began in heartbreak has grown into something beautiful. Today, Fireside Community Church of which Route 7 Community Outreach is the Community outreach arm, stands as a community-driven church rooted in the same heartbeat that shaped those father-and-son devotions. We gather every Sunday morning from 9:30–11:00 a.m. at Three Oaks Middle School, just across from Three Oaks Park. And two years later, Fireside Devo is still going strong as the young adults ministry of the church — a living reminder that light can rise from even the darkest moments.

Malachi was quoted as saying, “I just want my friends to know the Jesus I know — and the peace that a relationship with Him brings.” That longing still defines us. Fireside Community Church exists because of that desire: love for people, love for our community, and an unwavering love for Christ.

We are a church grounded deeply in Scripture — theologically sound, doctrinally faithful, and biblically principled. Yet we are also a church that understands pain. The loss of Malachi remains tender. There are days when the grief is heavy and the absence is deeply felt. But the message does not change.

Malachi’s favorite verse says it best:

“Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter:
Fear God and keep His commandments,
For this is man’s all.
For God will bring every work into judgment,
Including every secret thing,
Whether good or evil.”
— Ecclesiastes 12:13–14

His life, though only 22 years old, continues to preach that truth. And through Fireside Community Church, his faith, his love for Jesus, and his heart for his friends live on.

Out of ashes, the Lord has built a fire that continues to burn — not in anger or sorrow, but in hope, in truth, and in the unshakable peace found in Christ alone.
